Vocals & piano

Said Mansouri founded a duo formation "Ballades á deux" with the pianist Yukimi Okuda.

They also perform together with a jazz combo.

Musical impulses

Yukimi Okuda was born in Kyoto (Japan).

As a pianist, Yukimi Okuda has performed in various countries, including Japan, Germany, Poland, Italy, Estonia and Switzerland. She has performed at numerous concerts and music festivals.

She completed her concert examination at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (HfMT) in 2022 and her master’s degree in chamber music at the same university followed in 2024. Her teachers include D. Yoffe, I. Scheps and S. v. Eckardstein in the piano subject and A. Spiri and R. Kulek in the chamber music subject.

Her previous competition successes include First Prize at the 12th Japan Performer Competition in the high school student category, Gold Prize at the 10th Novi International Music Competition, Third Prize at the 10th Romanian International Music Competition and Second Prize at the 3rd Toho Gakuen Piano Concerto Competition .

She also won second prize at the Vienna International Music Competition 2019 (Austria), second prize at the Città di San Donà di Piave International Competition (Italy) and the Special Mention Prize at the 6th International Vigo Piano Competition (Spain).

Most recently, she was awarded second prize at the Brigitte Kempen Competition in Germany in 2023.
